These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the gl-open.com website (the “Site”) and the travel planning and consulting services provided by Glopen (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing the Site or using our services, you (“you” or “the Client”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site or services.
1. Services Provided
Glopen offers business and cultural travel planning and consulting services for international clients visiting China, including:
- Custom itinerary design for business meetings, conferences, and cultural experiences.
- Coordination with third-party service providers (hotels, transportation, local guides, etc.) to fulfill travel arrangements.
- Consulting support for visa applications, travel logistics, and compliance with Chinese entry requirements.All services are subject to availability and the terms of third-party providers.
2. User Responsibilities
As a Client, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information required for booking and service delivery (e.g., full legal name, passport details, and special requests).
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations of China and your home country during travel, including visa requirements, customs rules, and health and safety guidelines.
- Review and verify all booking confirmations, itineraries, and service details provided by us and notify us immediately of any discrepancies.
- Be responsible for obtaining necessary travel documents (passport, visa, travel insurance) and ensuring their validity for the duration of your trip.
3. Booking & Payment Terms
- A confirmed booking requires acceptance of a written proposal or quote provided by us and receipt of the required deposit or full payment, as specified in the booking agreement.
- Payments must be made via approved methods (credit card, bank transfer, or other agreed-upon channels) in the currency specified in the quote.
- Failure to complete payment by the agreed deadline may result in cancellation of your booking, subject to our cancellation policy.
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellation by the Client:
- Cancellations made 30 days or more before the scheduled trip start date: Eligible for a full refund of payments received, minus any non-refundable fees paid to third-party providers (e.g., hotel deposits, transportation tickets).
- Cancellations made 15–29 days before the trip start date: Eligible for a 50% refund of payments received, minus non-refundable third-party fees.
- Cancellations made fewer than 15 days before the trip start date: No refund will be issued, as third-party services may be non-cancellable at this stage.
- Modifications to Bookings: Changes to itineraries, travel dates, or services may be permitted subject to third-party availability and our ability to accommodate the request. Additional fees may apply, and we are not liable for costs incurred due to modifications requested by you.
- Force Majeure: We are not liable for cancellations or disruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to government travel restrictions, natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, or third-party service failures. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule services where possible, but no refunds will be provided unless required by applicable law.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, itineraries, and software, is the property of Glopen and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use any content from the Site without our prior written consent.
6. Limitation of Liability
- Glopen acts only as a booking agent and consultant for third-party travel services (hotels, transportation, etc.). We do not own or operate these services and are not liable for any acts, errors, omissions, injuries, losses, or damages arising from the provision of third-party services.
- We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, business interruption, or personal injury, arising out of or related to your use of our services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
- Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to us for the relevant services.
7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People’s Republic of China, excluding its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or our services shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Shanghai, China.
8. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on our Site with a revised “Effective Date”. Your continued use of our Site and services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
